Michael Jackson Farewell Sweet Prince
Michael Jackson, will always
be one of the most widely beloved entertainers and profoundly influential artists of all-time, he leaves an impossible to
be removed from the minds and hearts of those were touched through his music and actions. Michael’s influence will remain
always, forever being imprinted on Pop, R&B, Soul, Hip Hop and its culture. Michael ran a great race and won.
The prize at times was more than his soul could take. At an early age this musical genius was given to the world. I said the
world because Michael’s music had the targeted market labeled Global. Michael has been described as many things some
nice some not so nice. I have my own thoughts on Michael that I’d like
to explore with my readers.
Everyone knows his parents name they even know
who his siblings and children’s names. We all know that he was the BEST Artist that has ever lived period. But, I want
to go into the inner man. You know folks say a lot of things some have their thoughts as I said prior, some good some bad.
Say what you’d like but put yourself in this man’s shoes. Everybody feel they knew him based on what the media
says.
Michael Jackson was a child made a man, once
he became a man he was still the small child. Imagine you can’t go outside to play with other children, you can’t
get dirty you can’t be a child. Imagine not being able to go to the Mall and just mingle with mere strangers having
a simple conversation. Imagine being pulled apart by expectations of others for you, and you can’t even think of having
expectations for yourself. Imagine not being able to just live your life because you have to be a Poster Child or Man for
values that all are supposed to be governed by. How would you feel if you had to live your life in a glass house?
Well now you’re free Sweet Prince, no
more allegations, no more bills, no more expectations, and no more threats. Now he’s free the Lord has said to him it’s
time. Time to spread your wings and fly away my son it’s now your time to rest. To all those who didn’t believe
that he was sick during the trial and said that he just wanted sympathy, you know who you are. If you have a conscience which
I feel some of you do and some of you don’t. How are you feeling now? To those who got up every day with the sole purpose
of spreading whatever you spread about the man… How do you feel? To those who were so happy to build your happiness
on this man’s sorrows. Karma is real…
In closing my final thoughts of Michael Jackson
are he wanted a world that was a ONE. A world that was free of hatred, racism, homelessness, hopelessness, and color blind.
He couldn’t have that here on earth so he had to go above. That’s what Eagles do…
I commented on my friend Tony Mercedes Face
book my most memorable memories of Michael Jackson, I actually had two the first was the LP that my mother brought me back
from Chicago the Jackson 5 first hit “I want you back” on the flip side was “Who’s loving you”.
I was the only one period at Alta Mesa Elementary School to have it, I was stunting like it go. The second was when my grandmother
took my cousin and myself to a Jackson 5 concert in Dallas, TX. My grandmother was given backstage passes by a Dallas Police
who was a frequent visitor of our restaurant. We gained access to the garage where the Jacksons Limo came into. When the guys
exited their Limo we were above their heads. When Michael exited the Limo he tipped his hat at us. I guess I thought that
was my cue to jump over the rail into Jermaine’s arms or on top of his head. My grandmother said I always thought something
was wrong with you but now that has been confirmed. The distance of the jump would have surely messed me up.
Blessings to his family may God gives them peace
and the comfort each one of them needs. To the public let the family grieve in peace. Show mad love in a respectful way. But
remember they are his family you are his fans. Watch what you say keeping his young children, parents and siblings in mine.
Rest in Peace Sweet Prince.
