Dom was born in Heidelberg, Germany on Nov 12, 1979. His family then
eventually settled in Phoenix, Arizona. Raised with his two sisters by his single parent mother, Dom has always been
the man of the house. Despite his families hard work and efforts to raise Dom right and steer him in the right direction,
Dom learned many lessons the hard way, living life in the streets. From gun charges to drug charges, to being a teenage parent,
to earning his GED in jail. Doms story reflects the real life experience that
many African American males go through today. It was apparent at an early age that Dom was musically inclined.
With his older sister providing the beat box, Dom could be heard rhyming around the house, school,
local talent shows or anywhere where there was a crowd to listen. But it was not until his high school years when he started
to take his music seriously. He also realized that his love for music and the God given talents he possessed could be his
ticket to a better way of life. Dom practices a steady routine of song writing and recording. “I am an artist, not a
rapper. My music is alive, full of energy, emotion, and hunger”
The turning point in his life came on Sept 7th 2007, when an home invasion by three armed men led to Dom being
shot and laying in ICU. During this time Dom reflected on his life and has looked at every day since as a second chance.
While he is not ready to give away his flashy ways, he is now more focused on the bigger picture. His music tells
his story, and like many other great artist, he has the chance to leave his own mark on the rest of the world.
The first Dominant Breed album sold well on the internet and in the streets,
even selling numerous copies overseas. This album was led by tracks such as "Pray for me", "Stop, Look, Listen" and "Pressure".
It can be found on I-tunes, Napster, Bitmunk and over 20 other online retailers.
The follow up to the album, "Mob-Stars",
features the track "Homegirl" which was given an 8/10 by Cool and Dre and is in its finishing stages. Dom's solo project,
"Rulez of Engagement", received alot of praise on the streets, and is ready to be marketed on the net. It featured "American
G", among other street bangers.
