Sean Taylor and other youth's untimely death, rest in peace young Brother:

 

Another young life was taken. What in the world are we doing? How do we fix this problem? This son, father, brother, cousin and nephew is gone now, and for what? Because somebody doesn’t want to work and all they want to do is steal and be a worthless piece of shit? There is a serious problem in our community we have to find a solution quickly. Building prison isn’t an answer to our problem. Education and Economic Growth and accessible resources are what are needed.

 

I have traveled the world and have a special soft spot for those in need. I must add we don’t have to leave the country to see real need… I have met young guys that have this look in their eyes that I can’t find a word to describe to closest I can get to it is lost and hopeless. They can’t see a light because is clouded by their darkness. The darkness being no jobs, being told there is no hope to think that there is a joke. Nobody is going to help you…. Despair is no excuse for bad behavioral.

 

You are killing each other and who do we blame? The White people because the white man who use to rape black women, they killed us and hung all our people, oh I forgot about this one the white people owe us for what their forefathers did to us…

 

Stop it I say, stop it. Blame yourself blame your parents blame somebody associated to you stop blaming strangers. I know how it feels to go to bed without food. I know how it feels to make a mistake in life and it seems like you can never live it down. I know how it feels when it looks like everybody has a break except you. Trust me I know… But I also know that what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. I know that if you have a dream it can come true. I know that regardless to what others think of you that God thoughts are what counts. I know that if you have faith that you can move mountains…

 

I started this piece on Monday; I decided not to do it because I was so mad that I had written a lot of cuss words, it seems that’s all you seem to understand. I got real angry with Bill Crosby when he said the things he said about you. I was saying the same things a lot of you were saying. He doesn’t know how they feel, that was the mother in me. This is the mother in me too; I have to tell you the truth young Brothas and Sistas. I have to include the Sistas too now because they are thugging like it goes now. The thing is those folks got plenty good room for you in that system.

 

We find time to protest when 6 Black boys unfairly jump on one White boy and raise money for their defense and all… We need to raise money to set aside to help the ex-cons open a business when they come out. Before you start saying what do you mean? Then you might get the nerve to write in and let me have it, go right ahead. The White boy did provoke a fight; it wasn’t anything cute about hanging a nook in a tree. The entire incident was handled wrong. If the Adults would have been Adults the Children more than likely would not have gone so far. Anyway back to my point. Six boys jump on one. Why one boy couldn’t have fought one boy? The rest were wrong.

 

Now in California I saw where three Black guys broke into a White mans house beat his stepson in the head with a bat while demanding marijuana. The White man shoots two and kills them; the DA is charging the third man with robbery, burglary, and assault charges along with murder. The community is in an uproar over the fact that the White man that was in his own house minding his own business with his LEGAL MARIJUANA that the doctor prescribed due to his illness, is walking free.

 

Now you know that the Black Community is calling for a March and it’s racially motivated, and the rest of that mess. This is the reality check now I’m telling you now don’t write me telling me shit, about what I’m about to say.

 

Raw and Uncut: If they didn’t have their asses in that mans house beating his stepson, he wouldn’t have had to shoot them. The Law states that if a Crime is being committed and someone gets shot and dies, including the law breaker the survival will get charge with the murder. That’s Law people, now the survivals mother is on National television saying they aren’t treating her baby fairly. Question to the mother did you not see that your baby was going down the wrong road? Go read the article I did on Bullying. We have to stop giving our children excuses. When they are wrong they are wrong. Yes Racism is still alive, but it’s not like it use to be. The world doesn’t owe you shit.

 

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. got bite by dogs attacked and all kinds of harsh treatment so we could get an education and have the freedoms that we have now. He’s not even here to enjoy it, but he knew that he wouldn’t. He did it so our children could live and play and be educated with all races. Education is free now, and if you wish to go to college you can there is funding for you. Work for the rest I did. I know that there are opportunities that are out here that you have no knowledge of, but trust me they are here. Instead of the so-called Leaders leading protest for bad behavioral they should open productive Centers and take knowledge and Resources to the street.

 

We have Laws on the Books that are totally unfair and due to that young men are locked up with so much time that it takes a lot of fasting and praying for them to come out alright. Let’s do it the right way, that’s the only way we can survive people. Read; get involved you have a voice, use it the right way. To those on the block news flash, you need education too. The Game is changing; another thing is that you can’t continue doing wrong you just can’t.

 

I know you are doing what you know, but how about trying something new. I don’t care what your parents did, you are responsible for yourself and you can do it. We all have had our cross to bear. Please do it for your children. We are just going to have to forget about what has happened to us in our past, let’s look to the future.  Now, a young man is dead because somebody wanted his shit. Now everybody is saying that one of the guys is so nice, well his nice ass is going to get the same time as his bad friends. That boy is dead for what? The Lawyer (which is white) said that he has seen this too often in his career “Black Men killing Black Men”.  It’s an expected occurrence now. What does that say about us?

 

On a personal note there is a young brother that I know, his mother is dead his father is as well. He went to prison for a Murder that he didn’t do. It was a fact that he didn’t but his past was so messed up. The Courts just felt it didn’t matter. Now I hear that the day before Thanksgiving he gets into a shoot-out with another guy in a Flea-Market in Dallas, Texas. Neither Lee Lee nor the person he was shooting at gets shot, but an innocent child home from college gets shot in the head and dies on Thanksgiving Day. I talked to this boy while he was locked up the last time I begged him to turn his life around. Now look…

 

Please Brothas and Sistas (anybody out there regardless to race that’s going through the same things) know that I understand your back against the wall. I understand so let’s try something new. Many people have, so can you. Peace out…
