Shah Bailey is takin R&B to the next Level

sbaileyphoto.jpg

This Kat is the real deal for sho... Click his pic and check out his Hot New Video
"Drink in U"

Who? Shah Bailey Who? Shah Bailey

That’s right folks he it is all that and some mo stuff. This Kat is the real deal for sho. I wonder did his mother realize what a lyrical genius she was raising. The Eldest Male Child born into the family of seven. Not only is he a magnificent singer/performer, but he has a humanitarian spirit. Shah Bailey is set apart from the typical new artist he has his own sound. Shah Bailey definitely has a distinguishing voice which has an extraordinary range. Bailey is a native son of the Bronx, New York. It was at the Brooklyn Tabernacle Baptist Church; Bailey says his singing started at the age of (11). Bailey came from a strong lineage of church singers from his mother, grandmother, aunts, and uncles. Young Bailey had no choice it’s in the blood. Bailey said he loves to perform, sing and touch others with his Music.

Bailey says he got started in the Industry by singing in a friend’s Band; the friend took him to his brother. The brother saw what the world will see and the rest is history. Shah Bailey signed with Tu-Luv Productions and with that hotter that hot single “When We’, Tu-Luv is spreading True Love for sho.

Bailey doesn’t consider himself a veteran artist yet, since he has only been singing professional (2) years. Bailey says he developed his style by listening to the music and singing from within his soul.  This is a deep Young Soul Brother people. Bailey says he is involved with every facet of his projects from the writing of every lyric to the production, he says he has to work really hard to push himself so that’s what he does. Bailey is truly involved in his career by being hands on guy.

When Bailey was asked besides singing did he see himself getting more involved behind the scenes? Bailey replied “yes, I see myself producing and writing for other artists”.  When asked what was his ultimate goal Bailey replied “To spread my love through my music, and get to my people”. Bailey followed up with “Music is Universal and that’s why I’m here as a Messenger with my music. Bailey says that he feels his Production is great on the album, mainly because he had total freedom to be himself, total input on all the songs Bailey went on to say that is the reason he entitled his debut album “My Life Speaks Through Music”. Bailey also says he’s interested in doing films.

Bailey says he feels one challenge that faces new artist or season artist in the industry is that politics are brought in, and that kinda damages the Music Industry. This young gifted artist says when asked who would he like to collaborate with on a project “My dream is to work with Stevie Wonder and Babyface”, he went on to say he would love to work with “Mint Condition as well. Bailey says those guys have their own thing.

I asked Bailey if there was a certain them or message he’s trying to get across with his current album that? Bailey replied “Yes, we have to love each other and be understanding of each other. That’s what makes us individuals, no one is perfect if they are I haven’t met them yet”…

Now that the ever over populated music industry,  it takes a lot for an artist to be recognized and respected for their talent, Shah  Bailey has captivated audiences with his performances in the tri-state area.  His extraordinary performances were showcased opening for such established artists such as Ray J, Brian McKnight, Donell Jones, Tank and Jahiem.

To this day, Bailey still gives back by using his talents to inspire and mentor younger individuals who also yearn to make singing a career.  Bailey spends several hours a week as a vocal coach for a number of kids including his four sisters.

“My Life Speaks Through Music”, Bailey’s hot new debut album is a collection of songs produced by Tu-Luv Productions.  Shah Bailey wrote every song on the album, which includes Up-tempos and ballads.  The first single, “Drink N U” is currently blazin the airwaves and the video is hot to def. Shah Bailey’s Producer Tony explains, “Shah is one of the most gifted singers that we’ve ever worked with, we are so dedicated to him that we put off other singers just to complete his album and are investing in this ourselves, we believe in him 1000%.” “My Life Speaks through Music” also includes the outstanding ballad, “When we” which hands down is a spectacular ballad that showcases the falsetto voice of Shah Bailey.

There is something that is “old soul” about Shah Bailey, perhaps it is his musical influences who are Stevie Wonder, Mint Condition and Music Soulchild or it is the vocal quality of his voice? Again it’s in the BLOOD Babyyy…

Shah Bailey believes that music is the most powerful force that unifies people of all cultures and religions.  Bailey is passionate about creating music and expresses, “before songwriting I turn the search light inward to pull out every emotion within.” His music takes you on a journey of trial and tribulations experienced by many young men.  His album is based on real life experiences including relationships, growing pains and gains. For these reasons, Shah Bailey’s love for music promises to touch the hearts of many, it comes deep from the soul-it is truth.

In closing Shah Bailey was asked, when this phrase of his life is over, and he’s no longer in the industry which I don’t see that day in his Katz future. He said he wants to known for his music and his legacy to be that he cared for others and wants to be a mentor for the youth as his mentors were to him. He wants his message through his music to stand the test of time.

When Shah told me of the dreams he has had that I refer to as visions, he saw himself performing and being real sweaty, he saw himself at a Awards Show, and finally he saw himself going back to the Bronx and Brooklyn with two (2) 18 Wheeler Trucks filled with toys clothing and food for the Children. He said he wanted to make sure it got into the hands of the children. He ended by saying he heard of Charity but he never saw the money.

What a Powerful Young Man. To his mother you know as I do that a woman can raise a boy to be a good man. Peace Out
