In October of 2006 I was a man motivated by frustration and anger at the condition of my neighborhoods and
my people. I was discouraged by the culture that provided the soundtrack to my life. I was outraged and so I spoke these words..
"And all you coon ass rappers Y'all Should All Get Lynched!" and thus it began. Soon after I returned with another classic
Internet hit What up my wigga wigger as I attacked the wanton embrace of the disgrace of my people. The song has ROCKED crowds
every time I perform it. This song is a true show stopper. Feb. 14 2007 after completing my first album HoodTREASON the
warm up album I returned and brought good tidings and positive vibes to the sisters and women of all races in the form
of "Your A Queen!?!?".. You see somebody called you a bitch and you believed that.. June 28th 2008 I released HoodTREASON
the warm up album to rave reviews. Nothing less than 4 star ratings in mags like the SOURCE, XXL. HIP HOP CONNECTION and of
course websites like ALLHIPHOP.COM, and many many more.
And now I've returned to build further. with the Digital release
of 9 Wonders (NYOIL verses 9th Wonder) the digital ep
This Digital EP is a free download sponsored by PEMG (Petroleum
Empire Media Group) my label, and Various Blog sponsors who have agreed to host the download. It is a step towards building
solid business partnerships between new media and indie Artist.
9 Wonders - is a departure from HoodTREASON. Where HT
was more geared towards traditional Hip Hop and the whole Boom Bap of it. Driving beats and aggressive verses.. 9 Wonders
is delving into the Contemporary Hip Hop Foray. It has a mellower feel with more emphasis on lyrical content and telling clear
stories. This is the sort of album you sit back and discuss with your friends or during class. It has expectations of the
listener, it expects you to be aware of current events. to be a free thinker, have a degree of social consciousness, and be
an avid listener of lyrics. You see, good music Hip Hop or otherwise should challenger the listener to do something. if not
dance. then to think, to feel, to dream and to reflect. This is what 9 Wonders endeavors to do.
