Grace Dyer Grammy Bound

Grace Dyer came from N.Y. foster care to be a Grammy Nominee

I have been a fan of rap music since I was about eleven or so. I fell in love with it's style and rap to me is poetry to music and I have used rap to tell stories about my life and the lives of many others. I have been blessed to work with many producers in the past. There were some whom I thought wow we have nothing in common what am I doing with them, there was one who I thought was just trying to be mean and stress me out because no matter what I laid down or wrote he found something wrong with it. I broke down and cried alot. He never flinched he said use that anger and spit out your lyrics hard. I went home mad that night and came up with "More That Ya Want", and "God Turned My Life Around" Yet with time I grown to understand that he (rapper) just didn't want me to settle and be good he wanted me to be the best! Thanks Marc for everything.

One day my cousin told me about Paul "Maniac" Garrod at first I was weary but I gave him a call. We met and I liked him in an instant. He told me pick the beats you want, take those beats home, write your raps then go in the booth. One thing he stresed was be yourself Grace that's what important. I thanked God for that. Two weeks later we made a cd. The rest was history  I am allowing God to use this gift He has given me to minister and bless the lives of others. I have a special love in my heart placed there by God for the youth especially those who are troubled, frustrated, hurt, and outcast. I can relate to all they go through and experience. I was there many times too! If ya feeling what Im saying drop a line or let me know how I can come and minister at your youth events, church or whatever ya got going on. (Yes Jesus and I do clubs too, I don't believe in setting walls or barriers to reach others for Christ).  I love ya-BLESSINGS.-Grace Dyer
