TOP is pullin it down for the other A-Town Alabama Jackkkk

04-22-06_2327.jpg

An Interview with TOP "The Ordain Prince", a Rap Artist who lives in da ATL but Alabama blood line.

Question: How would you describe your rap style?

TOP: Calm, Cool, Collective, and Pimpish.

Question:  How did you develop your rhyming skills?

TOP: First, I had to find my voice then brought my words to life, and from there got my swagger right cause I knew if you look good you feel good and if I feel that way I can elaborate on that particular situation by spitting real words.

Question: How much to you feel that you hood influenced your music?

TOP: About  85%

Question:  Do you write your own material? What’s your involvement with your projects besides the lyrics?

TOP: Yes, that's basically it. The Lyrics that is.

Question: Is there a certain theme or message you’re trying to get across with your current album that you didn’t with the first or is the message the same for the both?

TOP: It's pretty much the same but the difference is, I'm gone turn it notch or Two and stop try'na prove that I can rap and start making hits. So I think a good look will be just screaming in their ear I'm here, I'm back & I ain't going nowhere. Mr. T.O.P in da building ya heard me??

Question:  How did you get started?

TOP: Well me and my homeboy used to rap against my brother and his partner, rap songs like Master P and Silk, 8 ball MJG and some local jokers to. So it just came to me like Dame, I can do this just as good if I really try to, and I was in the church from there and other local events anywhere I can show off my talent.

Question: How did you get your record deal?

TOP: Well it all started when I met Just Valerie and things just started taking off from there, next thing you know we got Major looking at us and a host of others also. LOL...

Question:  What fan base to you want to draw?

TOP: All the Street males and females, all the Classy ladies and my gentlemen. You know the ones who just like good music, that music when you cleaning up the house dancing sanging rapping and you have the house clean before you know it ready to clean some more.

Question: What is the most important thing in your life?

TIP: My family, cause without them there's no me point blank period.

Question: Who would you like to work with in the future that you haven’t already?

TOP: Lil Boosie, Z -Ro, Trae, Bow wow, yung berg, T.I., Webbie, Plies, Nate Dogg, Gator Main, Chris Brown, Solja Boy, young Buck, Jeezy.

Question:  What has most influenced or shaped you today as a man?

TOP: God I must say off top, also my Mom and Dad, Brothers and a few street Niggas. Can't forget my real Dad, I think our situation influence me the most I mean I don't mean to get too personal, but lets just say by him not being there made me angry on the inside so I just use that drive in my music, and make sure my kids have everything I never had and be there for my kids just Be a Better Man....

TOP was playa made from the get go...
