YZ da General
YZ had the Master Plan from da jump. Bringing Black
Awareness and responsibility was his platform during his Artist Career. Although he was young in age, he was definitely an
Elder in wisdom. I know I’m one of the many that miss this Brother Lyrical Genius with da Mic. Now we have to settle
with the blazin talent he now manages. YZ is currently on Tour with that real ass “Nappy Roots”. When I listened
to “Po Folks” I'd have an attitude all day long. “Nappy Roots” is still doin it like no other and
sayin what ever da F*ck they want to say…
For those who
have lived on another planet and don’t know YZ he is a hip-hop emcee from New Jersey. He released three albums: Sons of the Father (Tuff City Records, 1990), The Ghetto's Been Good to Me (Livin' Large/Tommy Boy/Warner Bros. Records, 1992) and "YZ Presents the Legend of Floyd Jones" released on his own label.
YZ is the owner of Blackworld Entertainment, a management firm and he is the President of NREG (Nappy Roots Entertainment
Group). He re-entered the personal management field and is managing recording artists Daddy O, Nappy Roots, Sonny Bonoho,
Tray Chaney, Ozara Ode, Jeni Fujita, C-Love; producer/artist Bobbie Fine; and producers: King Midas and DJ Cozmos. Additionally
he brokers for Stic.Man of Dead Prez and is the managing Consultant for the record label Team Maverick/700 Block, based in New Jersey.
YZ expanded his entertainment realm by
getting behind the scenes of the television and radio world. He is the creator, executive producer, and host of the TV show
Comin at Ya Live and the Internet's
first hip-hop talk-radio show The After
Thought. Visit both online at www.cominatyalive.com and at www.theafterthoughtradio.com.
Currently Blackworld Entertainment is anticipating the 2009 album entitled
Muad;Dib/Always Will Be by YZ to be released early spring. Blackworld Entertainment will also be releasing artist Sonny Bonoho’s
sophomore release entitled PhonePhreak, along with releases by Bobby Fine, Funk Family, Blaquespurm, and # 9.
Blackworld Entertainment is also working along side a nonprofit organization
named Washington Academic Leadership Institute to support educational and leadership training for young men of color. Visit
